Derek got over a dozen fish at Gull Lake in northern Minnesota! This is one of the many largemouth bass he hauled out of the water. There were also a couple Northern pike.

CCA Envision Viva Italia

Derek plays jazz guitar in an after-school arts program called Envision. The school put on "Viva Italia" which was an Italian dinner served alfresco with jazz music. Derek turned 18 years old over the summer and is now a senior at Canyon Crest Academy. He's applying to colleges right now and is hoping to attend a small liberal arts school next year. He continues to enjoy playing in the school jazz band.
